MakerQueue — Production Queue Manager
A real-time production queue visualization tool — engineered to track, reorder, and sync made-to-order manufacturing SLAs with Shopify.
Problem
Craftline manufacturers lacked visibility into their production floors, making it impossible to reorder queues based on promised delivery dates. The challenge: manual queue management via spreadsheets caused constantly missed SLAs and disjointed communication between the floor and customer support.
Architecture & Solution

A Remix and TypeScript application providing real-time WebSocket updates. It features a drag-and-drop React interface for queue manipulation. The backend calculates SLA due-date conflicts on every move and synchronizes fulfillment status directly back to the Shopify order via API webhooks.
Implementation Decisions
- Real-time state synchronization — WebSocket integration ensures that queue changes made by one floor operator instantly reflect across all workstations.
- Algorithmic conflict resolution — Drag-and-drop reordering automatically calculates and flags downstream SLA violations before the move is finalized.
- Bidirectional order syncing — Pushing production status directly to Shopify ensures customer support teams have accurate fulfillment data without leaving their dashboard.
