A dynamic B2B quoting engine — engineered to calculate real-time material costs, manage tiered pricing, and automate quote-to-order conversions.
Problem
Custom goods sellers were losing revenue by manually generating complex quotes outside of Shopify. The challenge: disconnected quoting processes meant losing track of pricing context, tier rules, and critical quote-to-order conversion metrics.
Architecture & Solution

The Remix application integrates directly with the Shopify API. It utilizes a dynamic pricing engine that applies tiered volume discounts and material cost formulas. Accepted quotes automatically trigger a conversion workflow that generates a finalized Shopify Draft Order.
Implementation Decisions
- Rule-based pricing templates — Variable pricing logic allows merchants to securely enforce tiered discounts without manual calculation errors.
