Problem

Scattered Shopify apps, inconsistent deployment, messy architecture across six different projects led to maintenance nightmares and delayed feature shipping.

Architecture & Solution

Monorepo structure utilizing pnpm workspaces to share types, database schemas, and UI components across apps while deploying to independent Netlify environments.

Data Model

Centralized Prisma schema managed within a shared package. Each app maintains isolated environments but imports the shared generated Prisma client to enforce type consistency.

Failure Handling & Resilience

Custom Shopify App Bridge webhooks with idempotency keys and automated retry queues. Prevents dropped orders during traffic spikes.

Permissions & Security

Enforces strict API route middleware validating Shopify HMAC signatures, checking active subscriptions, and utilizing short-lived session tokens.
